Are semantics obscuring the real issue of Shroud science? Do scientists use semantics or phrases and concepts that have no application to investigating whether particle or other radiation was emitted from the body of the man in the Shroud?

Scientific Testing and the Shroud, Mark Antonacci

Scientific research on the Shroud of Turin has unlimited potential. This burial cloth, approximately 14 feet 3 inches long and 3 feet 7 inches wide (4.34m x 1.10m), actually contains unique and sophisticated evidence throughout every location on the linen.

John Jackson, STURP co-founder, examines the Shroud of Turin through a special microscope during the 1978 scientific examination. Note that there is a camera built into the scope system that allowed us to take high quality photomicrographs.

A Call for Testing, Mark Antonacci

In the keynote address given at the international conference held in conjunction with the Shroud’s latest exhibition in 2010, attorney Mark Antonacci advocated that a unique series of scientific tests and experiments should be performed on samples removed from the Shroud of Turin.

Nuclear Science and The Shroud, Mark Antonacci

This paper proposes specific tests for the presence of neutron-created C-14, Cl-36 and Ca-41 on control samples and on linen, blood, charred material and limestone from the Shroud of Turin and/or Jesus’ reputed burial tombs.

This paper proposes future testing that could examine every fiber on the Shroud of Turin.

Particle Radiation from the Body Could Explain the Shroud’s Images and Its Carbon Dating, Mark Antonacci

This paper highlights some of the main reasons why radiation caused the body images on the Shroud of Turin.

Radiocarbon produced by neutron irradiation was not removed by high temperatures or by the chemical cleaning treatments used in the 1988 tests.

Hypothesis that Explains the Shroud’s Unique Bloodmarks and Several Critical Events in the Gospels, A. C. Lind, Mark Antonacci

This paper asserts that the Historically Consistent Hypothesis could also explain or provide insight into the Shroud’s unique blood marks, Jesus’ resurrection, the earthquake, and his sudden disappearances and reappearances reported in the Gospels.
